Anxiety & Panic Attacks
Inevitable Part of Life
Anxiety is an inevitable part of life in our current society where uncertainty abounds and there are many situations and circumstances where it is appropriate, reasonable, and natural to react with some anxiety.

Anxiety is a gift from nature because it has aided our survival and evolution — none of us would live long if anxiety didn't stop us from taking foolhardy risks!

But, like anything else, when taken to the extremes anxiety (mis-using our imagination by catastrophising) can be problematic and become as disabling as any chronic physical illness, in fact it can become the cause of or compound chronic physical illness.

There are three elements to anxiety
-
the physical sensations you experience.
-
the emotions you have while experiencing them.
-
and the thoughts that you dwell on or go through your mind at the time.

But anxiety (and at the extreme end a panic attack) is not something all-powerful and inexplicable. It can be managed and brought under control.
